    The Beautiful Maggie Puddle Cottage is a short walk to the centre of Cartmel, located at the foot of Haggs Lane.

    ​This luxurious ‘Chocolate Box’ cottage has been recently refurbished to provide characterful accommodation set over two floors retaining many of the original features.

    The well-appointed cottage has a country style kitchen with a large range oven, wooden worktops, fridge freezer, dishwasher and traditional slate floor, leading into a utility room which is perfect to store coats and boots.

    The large cosy bright living room come dining area benefits from two stoves, one wood-burning and one electric each with original slate hearths. The charming window seat is a perfect place to sit, relax and watch the world go by.

    The stunning shower room has been newly installed and is situated on the ground floor. Upstairs there are three well proportioned bright bedrooms with crisp fresh linen each offering spacious accommodation complimented with a lovely family bathroom.

    No smoking, Pets welcome by prior arrangement.

    Change over is Monday and Fridays. Check-in is 4 pm and we ask that your please vacate the property by 10 am on the day of departure. However please let us know if you need to arrive early and we will do our best to accommodate you.

    **We accept four-day mid-week breaks and 3-day weekend breaks**

    It’s a dream place to be— the owners have filled it with beautiful extras that make a visit perfect. Super clean, the best position for the village /pub and excellent eateries.

    The Nest is a charming little bolt-hole perfect for couples. It is finished to a very high spec and has all the little extras you need for an extremely comfortable stay. The bed is particularly AMAZING! Situated perfectly for lazy days exploring the beautiful mediaeval village of Cartmel and one of its many pubs/restaurants or if you’re feeling a bit more energetic and fancy a hike the Lakes are only a short car journey away. Highly recommended and we’ll definitely be back!

    It had everything we needed, a fully equipped kitchen and a great sized living room. both showers were really hot and powerful! great having two bathrooms when there's 4 of you staying in one place. the bedrooms are a good size and the beds themselves are really comfortable and I slept well. A wonderful place to stay. No faults.
